Microcurrent is the key to healing the body. It is not only has parasympathetic affect on the body, it enhances healing at the cellular levels.

The tissues of the human body are comprised of active chemicals, confined together by electromagnetic bonds. These chemicals are organized into different systems that have clear-cut structures. Furthermore, the tissues are gel matrices lined with water, behaving as semiconductors allowing electron flow to transmit information. Each body part is involved in and produces constant streams of information, transported through precise reverberating frequencies. The cells, tissues, and organs have their own unique and ideal frequency that synchronizes their activities, and later on relays the state of their activity to the nervous system.

Injury or illnesses also have their own reverberating frequencies that impede the body’s ability to recuperate and go back to its normal function. The way these reverberating frequencies communicate can be very complex, but it is all influenced electrically. For instance, inflammation, pain, and over stretching of tissues introduce itself as an electromagnetic disruption. This disruption alters the normal functions in the body and nervous systems. These disruptions are neutralized by applying appropriate microcurrent stimulation.

This microcurrent stimulation hastens the healing process by gathering the body’s ATP into the injured tissue. An electric current ranging from 200 to 800 micro-amperes targeting the affected body tissue will cause ATPs to gather into that tissue, thereby hastening the healing process.

Apart from ATPs, calcium which is also a very important ion in cell physiology is also affected by microcurrent stimulation. This ion is one of the essential “internal messenger” of the body’s cells. These calcium ions when converted to calcium protein complex are also essential in the secretion and recycling of ATP, and many other cell processes. Electrical stimulation stimulates the nerve impulses thus calcium gates in the axon terminal opens. This results to an inflow of calcium ions signaling the synaptic vesicles and presynaptic membranes to merge. This causes the synaptic cleft to release neurotransmitters, such as endorphins. These neurotransmitters transport information from the brain to the body and vice versa, and regulating all body functioning.

Long term management of chronic pain looks elusive with single modality. MPS Therapy is the combination of microcurrent electrotherapy and ancient philosophy to obtain summative effect. It uses microcurrents to stimulate the acupoints to release natural pain killer chemicals, relieving the chronic pain. It is being used to manage chronic joint, neck and back pain, sciatica, bursitis, tendonitis, frozen shoulder and neuromyofascial pain.
