Physical Therapy

MPS is an adjunctive modality that combines the theories of Eastern and Western medicine with the evidenced-based  science, integrating  microcurrent stimulation with manual mobilization. This modality has been scientifically published to positively impact the autonomic nervous system, reducing stress and promote pain relief for improved joint, muscle mobility and tone. MPS has been clinically proven to improve the mobility of scar tissue to accelerate the healing of traumas/injuries. MPS is easily integrated into rehabilitative exercise programs, and may be utilized in a hospital or home health care setting.

An independent Florida Hospital internal study performed compared two standardized patient groups (n = 86/2) who received 11 sessions each. One group applied TENS (AC  with pads to acupuncture points) and the other Physical Therapy group with MPS (MPS applied to acupuncture points) produced the following results:

The MPS Therapy group had significantly greater reduction in pain (83% vs 48%) than the traditional TENS modality group, a significant increase in pain functional outcomes.  This study is significant since it was performed internally with no input or knowledge by MPS providers. Study conclusion: “MPS is a highly effective modality when combined with traditional physical therapy,” says Mitch Fried, M.D., Director of Rehab.
