I teach MPS Pain Management Courses to healthcare professionals several times a month. Each and every weekend I walk away filled with warmth, happiness, and excitement in my heart. Each week that follows I think about the students/professionals that I’ve taught and contemplate the changes that I saw before my eyes. Here is my story of the week.

This past weekend, I was in Tampa, FL teaching one of our two day seminars. At the beginning of every seminar day one, the first thing I do is give a brief introduction to the therapy and then perform demonstrations.

When I choose people for the demonstrations I ask the class “who is in pain?” Then I pick the person who has the highest pain level. I had the privilege of having a super sweet lady, 72 years old, who was a massage therapist – she was so sweet! She loved her job, she loved to help people.

She reported that she had constant chronic pain in her low back of an 8 out of 10. I asked her if she had an abdominal scar and she said yes but it was very, very old and it did not hurt. I asked if she would mind being the student for the scar demonstration. She said she would love to. So, I got her on the table in front of the class and treated her abdominal scar with MPS-SRT (Scar Release Therapy). It took about 10 minutes. She stood up, walked around, and let her body begin to re-adjust. To the class’s and her own amazement, she shockingly and joyfully reported zero pain! Her face was glowing and she could not believe she had lived with years of pain, after many different therapeutic treatments with no lasting relief, to have me simply treat the scar and release the pain in minutes!

Now, to continue the story – it gets even better. She had another scar worked on in class by her lab partner the second day of class. She had a fusion of Cervical Vertebrae 5-6. She reported her daily neck pain to be at a 9 out of 10. She had lived with neck pain for 43 years! The scar on her neck was also treated with MPS-SRT and went to a zero!

Needless to say, this was a life changing weekend for my sweet new friend. Not only for herself, but now for all her patients as she adds this treatment technique to her practice. Maybe she’ll share her own “story of the week” someday soon!

I am so blessed to do what I do!
